BEST RESULTS
For best results do not use High contrast or harshly lit images. Mildly lit textures are best. Black or dark shadows may show up as flat spots, overexposed highlights may also. The best light source would be directly facing the texture, as if coming from the camera

Press Preview to show what details are being used in the process.
After pressing OK the image will reset but settings remain. (Don’t worry).
Custom colors
If required by the render engine, one can create custom colors that will be used when creating the image. Full RGB control. Although probably needs some work.
TRANSFORMS
These settings can only be used: AFTER you run “Map Normals” AND BEFORE “merge all visible layers” and ONLY on Layer “Normal”.
Rotation
the default color orientation for the image is, the top is up. Depending on you UVWs this might not be what you want. Effect color will only change the color orientation.
